How Many Days Do I Have to Respond to a Foreclosure Notice?
In the state of Florida, a homeowner has 20 days to respond to a foreclosure notice submitted by his or her lender. Lenders must file a lawsuit with the courts, after which the homeowner (the borrower of the mortgage) will be presented with a foreclosure complaint and a court summons. The homeowner has twenty days from this date to file a response.
